So, as I was saying…
I finally got the monitor hooked up and then had to pull it almost to the front of my desk in order to read it. My visit to the ophthalmologist didn’t result in a new prescription for glasses (he doesn’t do that) and I finally made it to the optometrist this week and-
Here I sit with new over-the-counter readers so that I can view my computer screen (which sits a whopping 32 inches away).
And when I said before that I wear 3.75 strength readers? I lied. Oh gawd, I am losing my mind. No wonder the ones I bought on ebay didn’t work. I blamed it on the cheap glasses but now I know the truth.
I FORGOT WHICH STRENGTH GLASSES TO BUY.
It’s 2.75, which suddenly puts me back in the realm of buying them at the grocery store, or better, from Boomer Eyeware on Amazon. Boomer has the cutest readers. I also get compliments when I wear them. I then try to explain to people how to order them from Amazon, and their eyes glaze over, so I will stop sharing the joy.
But you can click up there and go look at the pretties. They even have sunglasses that are readers.
And they’re cheap.
I now eagerly await my new dark mustard glasses and my new purple-and-blue glasses. I can get an entire wardrobe of glasses. Color me squee!
(Disclaimer: If you’ve seen me wearing my skinny black glasses over the past two months, they are not my cute Boomer glasses. My cute Boomer glasses are all broken because I’m hell on glasses.)
Anyway. Am loving new monitor, new glasses, and repaired memory.
Do they have a chip for this?
