Freedom of Choice Weekend

If you’re among the 30% who still think our president is going a good job, this one is for you:

Remarks by the President on the Global War on Terror

Mind you, I wanted to find you a nice youtube video that is pro-Bush but all I could find was Bush dancing and that defeats the purpose of me trying to be a polite hostess, which is what I’m trying. Because if you like our president, you won’t like the video below, and I just want you to know that. You and I don’t agree on that thing, but I want you to have something to see that won’t piss you off, so go click the link above and you’ll see President Bush’s speech from April 19, 2007. Just last week!

And if you’re in the 70% who doesn’t think our president is doing a good job, this one is for you:

By the way. I know Cheney loves his daughter. He just doesn’t think the gay sons and daughters of other people should get as much respect as he gives his own daughter, that’s all. Because he doesn’t really think his daughter is a sinner and is going to hell and the nation is a scary place if people like her get to have (gasp!) civil unions or marriages. That’s just the compromise he was willing to make to get the religious right to support the ticket, that’s all. It’s called compromise. Or selling out. Or selling your daughter down the river. Or something.

And a little later I’ll find something happier to post. Promise.

Test Rides (1)

I’m test riding road bikes. I expect this to be an ongoing process. I’m keeping notes, but I also want visuals to help me remember which was which. So, without further ado, the bikes I’ve ridden thus far:

Specialized Allez (rode it first/liked it least/probably too small/shoulders hurt)

Jamis Ventura (pretty good fit/painful saddle/aluminum)

LeMond Etape (pretty good fit/comfortable saddle/aluminum/very pretty black and dark blue)

Jamis Quest (fairly good fit/painful saddle/steel/my favorite ride but not the best fit/the only WSD I rode, top tube may be too short, handlebars were good)

Oh, and Mrs Harris took up the challenge and posted a link to
boat pr0n. Looks like a yacht, to me.

BREAKING AWAY 2007

And the Cutters won. Again.

“Five teams were in contention going into the final 10 laps, but Cutters rider Alex Bishop outsprinted Phi Kappa Psi rider Erik Styacich to the finish line.”

Okay, so just tell me this.

Does the fact that Dale cries when he kills his daddy prove that he’s not a sociopath?

Just wonderin.
